The Sidebar Oddity

When a category or page link is created, if the category or page doesn't actually exist, the link will be red. If a red link is followed, the target category or page will open up in "sandbox" mode. Even if a category has many pages listed, if no editing has been done to the category page, the wiki still considers it "new" and ready to edit. There is apparently one exception. If a category is linked from the sidebar, it doesn't open up in sandbox mode, and that gave me a double-take with the Caregiver link before it was eventually edited. -- User:WikiDave
